The Quiksilver Roxy Cantabrian Surf School’s University Surf Camp is a perfect combination of sports activities and academic training. Mix two passions such as surfing and design at the surf camp in Somo, Cantabria.

Objetives
Design & Surf
This program links the world of Surfing with the university environment and establishes common places through different design workshops from a sociocultural point of view.
Illustration in the surf industry:
Introduction to the world of illustration in the field of surfing, and a specific workshop on graphics related to said context.
The sports logo and its relationship with surfing
Study of successful cases of brands related to the world of water sports. Evolution and trends, and making attractive proposals for the market.
Sport screen printing I
Printing on neoprene. In this module, students will learn to make a basic illustration for silk-screen printing on suits made with this material.
Sport screen printing II
Table stamping. In this module, students carry out an advanced illustration for printing on a board, including preparation and resining of the surface to prolong its durability.
Sport screen printing III
Printing on swimwear. Our students learn the peculiarities of textile screen printing ink for the application of an illustration that personalizes a swimsuit. This program, Design & Surf, allows the student to acquire basic academic skills on surfing and its relationship with design, to understand its social importance and its relationship with urban culture.
Business & Surf
The Business & Surf allows students to gain knowledge and skills about the surf industry, whose global economic impact is $48 billion annually.
This program is very useful for professionals and future managers looking for additional training focused on the field of surfing. With an eminently practical methodology, students increase their management skills, develop sports business management skills and learn to carry out business plans in the international arena.
The objectives of Business & Surfing are:

Spanish Language Program
The Spanish and surf course is an innovative way of learning Spanish in and out of class that combines learning the language and immersion in Spanish culture. CESINE students improve their confidence, fluency and communication skills in Spanish.
The CESINE teaching method is innovative and adapts to each student so that learning Spanish is easier and more fun. The courses offered are aimed at people who want to learn or improve their Spanish and, at the same time, practice surfing in a privileged place. Spanish classes are held from Monday to Thursday, and surf classes from Monday to Sunday.

In our surf classes ALL material is included. We have the best surf material on the market and we also renew it annually so that our students have a 100% surf experience from day one. Our surf wetsuits are from the brands Quiksilver & Roxy, sponsors of the school. We have soft surfboards for learning and polyester and epoxy boards for more advanced surfers. WHERE: The School was created in 1991 on the Somo beach, Cantabria. One of the most consistent surf spots in northern Spain, with a beach break of more than 7 km of white sand and excellent waves for learning and practicing surfing. We are inside the first surfing reserve in Spain. Located 20 minutes from Santander, capital of Cantabria; it can be accessed by road or by sea, crossing its bay, “possibly one of the most beautiful bays in the world”, on a nice boat ride.
