One of the events of the year is approaching Cantabria. For the seventh consecutive year, it returns to the beach of Somo, Cantabria, one of the most important events on the national scene, such as the Cántabra Surf School Festival , which this year celebrates its 7th edition and that as a main dish will have the development of the 18th Cantabra Surf School Open, currently the longest surfing test in Cantabria and one of the most important in our country.

The pioneering surf school in Spain comes back to the load, after the success of the previous editions. This year the festival will maintain the format of the same to 3 days, involving all the surfing community of Ribamontán al Mar.

On Thursday, August 25, we will be presenting the Cántabra Surf School Festival to specialized media and press, along with the personalities of the municipality, at the Somo Surf Center.

Friday, August 26th in the evening we will have a festival opening in the Australian Bar of Somo, by Red Bull, with music, djs and many more surprises.

The next day, on Saturday, August 27th we will have the main dish of the Cántabra Surf School Festival, with a marathon day that will start at 9am on Saturday, with the start of the 18th Open Cantabra Surf School Championship , one of the tests More consolidated of the national panorama and that again will be valid for the regional and national circuit, with the categories Open and Féminas of surf and where we can enjoy not only the best local surfers and the community, but many of the best national surfers of the moment. If the waves and the weather accompany, the show will be guaranteed.

From 12 in the morning will start in the skate park of Somo and the hand of the Cantabra School of Skate the 6th Championship of Skate presented by DC and where we will see to surf the asphalt to many of the best skaters, with qualifying rounds in The morning and the late in the afternoon. Quote unavoidable for all lovers of skateboarding.

Parallel to the surfing and skate events and in the large car park of Somo, the 7th MUSIC FESTIVAL will be held to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the school. The day will begin with djs and different workshops, which will delight all visitors. In addition, we will have different premiers of Quiksilver and Roxy, throughout the event there will be raffles, gifts, many concerts, red bull chill out area, many surprises and especially a good dose of music.

On Sunday, August 28, we will wake up with the semifinals and finals of the Open Surf Championship, which will close the School Festival.

So for all surfers, skateboarders and music lovers, you can not miss this event, because throughout this unforgettable weekend you will merge to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the pioneering surf school in Spain. An event, which we hope to see many people who have made history in school, many friends, good people, good waves and above all a lot of fun.
