One of the events of the year is nearing Cantabria, the Festival 25th Anniversary of the Cantabra Surf School , which this year promises novelties.
For the sixth consecutive year Somo beach is one of the most important events on the national scene, such as the Cantabra Surf School Festival , which this year celebrates its 6th edition and commemorates the 25th anniversary Festival of the pioneering surf school in Spain. After the success of the previous editions, this year the festival maintains the format of the same to 3 days, involving all the surfing community of Ribamontán al Mar.
On Thursday, August 27th we will make the presentation of the Festival to specialized media and press, along with the personalities of the municipality in the Somo Surf Center.
Friday, August 29th in the evening we will have a festival opening in the Australian Bar of Somo, by Red Bull, with music, djs and many more surprises.
The next day, on Saturday, August 29, we will have the festival’s main course, with a marathon day that will start at 9am on Saturday morning, with the start of the 17th Open Cantabra Surf School Championship , one of the most Consolidated and will again be valid for the regional and national circuit, Open, Féminas and Junior categories and where we can enjoy not only the best local surfers and community, but many of the best national surfers of the moment. If the waves and the weather accompany, the show will be guaranteed.
From 12 in the morning will start in the skate park of Somo and the hand of the Cantabra School of Skate the 5 th Championship of Skate presented by DC and where we will see to surf the asphalt to many of the best skaters, with qualifying rounds in The morning and the late in the afternoon. Quote unavoidable for all lovers of skateboarding.
Parallel to the surfing and skateboarding tests and in the large parking lot of Somo, the 6th MUSIC FESTIVAL will be held to celebrate this 25th anniversary of the school. The day will start with djs and different workshops …. Which will delight all visitors. In addition, we will have different premiers of Quiksilver and Roxy, throughout the event there will be raffles, gifts and many concerts, red bull chill out area, many surprises and especially a good dose of music.
On Sunday, August 31, we will wake up with the semifinals and finals of the Open Surf Championship, which will close the 25th Anniversary Festival of the school.
So for all the fans of surfing, skateboarding and music you can not miss this appointment. An unforgettable weekend in which surf, skateboard and music will merge to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the pioneering surf school in Spain and where we hope to see many people who have made history in school and many friends. Many people, good waves and above all a lot of fun.
After more than 2 decades of activity at the Cántabra Surf School, we have seen how its top managers are still in shape and want to continue to promote surfing. Pioneer in Spain, with 25 years of a long life dedicated to teaching surfing, it has become Spain’s # 1 school and one of the most prestigious in Europe.
A celebration of the high, free entry, national surf championship, championship and skate exhibition, live performances and concerts, djs, prizes, raffles and many surprises.
In short, a great party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Cantabrian school.
